Blogroll: You Want Some Fries with That?

My Blogroll has gotten too long for the sidebar, and I know what that means: no one ever clicks on the links because it's impossible to know where to start. As far as I can tell, there are two main reasons to have a Blogroll: to throw some linky love to the writers and people you like best; and to point readers to great reads.

But if no one's clicking, the list ain't working.

So here's the new and improved Blogroll. It's fully twice as long as the one that used to be in the sidebar (update much? apparently not enough). But it also has this extra added awesome bonus feature: a side of fries with every blog. (a.k.a. brief little descriptions that will suggest why you might love these folks too. ) So go ahead, browse around. Find some new loves. I'll happily take the blame for your addictions. As long as the folks here are willing to take the blame for mine.

Just don't forget me as you get lost in all the great, hilarious, thought-provoking newness you're about to experience.

If your blog should be on this list, but it isn't, drop me a comment. I'm a bit cross-eyed from making so many links, so I may have missed a few (I hope not!). If you don't like how I've described you, drop me a comment. If you know someone else's blog I really shouldn't be missing, drop me a comment.

In short, got feedback? You know what to do!

Happy reading.

You're a peach, Miss MT. Although in my wildest dreams I am not a musical virtuoso . . . in fact, I have never been THAT close to the word "virtuous" in my life. Muchas gracias!

Awwww thanks for the linky love.

I wish I knew how to make a link to my blogroll instead of just putting all of it out there. I'd love to do one of those rotating things...but I am not technically adept at these sorts of things...so until I am, my blogroll is going to become the Beast of the East.

Julie Pippert said...

Oh wow, I love how you did this with the descriptions and all. And thanks for such a sweet write-up of my blog. :)

Amy said...

HAHA! You think I'm sane?!?
Thanks for listing me, I've got to get around to updating mine. And posting. And answering emails. Summer has never been so busy. Bring on school so I can have some free time!

San Diego Momma said...

THAT is major. Sometimes my eyes cross with all the links I should be checking out, so it's super dooper awesome to have a description along with the URL.

But now I'm gonna be here all day checking the links out. And I did have other stuff to do...

Oh well.

Fawn said...

Wow, how many are on that list? Wait, let me check... Excel says 65, which is pretty close to the number of subscriptions I have in my Reader, but a good handful of them (friends' blogs) rarely post, and yet I still have trouble keeping up. You are one dedicated woman!

Thanks so much for having me on your blogroll, and for your sweet description, too. :)

Holy hells bells that's a long blogroll. I enjoyed reading your take on everyone's blogs.
I read quite a few of those.
Your site is fantastic. I clicked over from Judith Shakes. Looks wonderful.
I gave up on having a blogroll and just added the 'feeder' feature that blogger now provides.

Thank you so much for putting me on your site, and in such good company! I'm honored, and I mean that.

But more importantly, you inspired me to update my blogroll! OK, I don't mean that. But I really, REALLY thought about it. I will do it, though. Soon. I promise. Pinky swear.

your blog is up on www.momdot.com under Parenting! We were gonna ask for some link love so other bloggers know to come list, but it looks like the blogroll is out. LOL! Any chance of listing the banner?

Oooh! I'm so excited that I made your list. Thank you! Maybe I should do a blogroll post to cover all my favorites! I've been using my Google Reader widget to share my favorites. BTW - love the "side of fries" to go with it. My Google Reader is going to barf up those fries if I feed it that many more! I have a handful of favorites in common with you but I'm afraid that you're going to make my addiction even worse!

Thanks again!
