On Saturday, Son and I went for a walk in the new snow. Well, I walked. He rode the toboggan and snapped photos all the way to the pond. He has a completely indestructible digital camera made for kids -- the kind of camera that you can leave outside in the pouring rain, totally forget about, find, despair of ever using again, and then, miraculously, use to snap the following photos. (After you dry it out, change the batteries, and wait for it to snow.) So, here's the kid's eye view of our outing the other day. (The only editing of any kind that I did was to crop out the camera strap from the edge of one photo.)

I might as well confess that I really am nine and a half feet tall.
Yes, those are sneakers. He left his snow boots at daycare.
I double-bagged his feet in grocery sacks under his shoes.
He didn't seem to mind.

Geeeeez, I was thinking more 20 feet tall. You've got yourself an expert photographer there. :-)
I love it, love it, love it! His photos are great. Big Sis loves her camera too, and delights in taking pictures of people either from 50 feet away, so they look like ants, or 3 feet away so she cuts off their heads. Clearly, our children are growing up in an age of digital cameras...Minnie 1 delights in using the molded plastic fake camera that came with a happy meal one time. She looks through the non-existant view finder, says, "say cheese", then holds the camera away from her, looks at it lovingly and says, "good one, wanna' see?"
I love that last picture - you both look so joyful!
My third daughter received a digital camera for her birthday. She enjoys taking pictures of everything. I'm just glad she's to my shoulder, any lower and the photos of me would be pretty scary considering the size of my backside. ;D
What a great idea... to see the world as your son sees it.
Great photos! We gave the Princess one of those totally indestructable cameras for Christmas. It's such fun.
By the way... hot stuff! Where've you been all my life? *wink*
These are wonderful shots. And you don't look an INCH under ten feet tall!
My kids use the camera once in a while, and I find 16 photos of various butts -- *ahem*, we say BOTTOMS, Mommy -- taken in various places around the house. Always a nice surprise when I'm uploading photos.
I see Cocoa and Foolery have the same problem we do here: the rear-end-is-eye-level issue. Although lately, Daughter has been fascinated with using (clean) underpants as a hat, so that's making for many amusing photo ops that have fortunately let my behind off the hook.
OhMommy and Don Mills Diva, yes, it is really quite something to see the world as he sees it -- and to have such joy about it all.
Amber and Foolery, okay, I was being modest. I just didn't want to intimidate anyone by saying how tall I really am! ;)
18'4" for those who were wondering.
MM, Daughter just starting doing the EXACT same thing today for the first time. It's like she read your comment or something. Weird.
LatteMommy, Let's start a mutual admiration society. The one and only pic I've seen of you made me gasp over your prettiness -- even without eyes on the face! :) My first thought was "now there's a woman I wish I knew in real life."
Oh those were such precious pics! That last one of the 2 of you and the one of you pulling are wonderful :)
